My mom always made her famous chutney on Thanksgiving. It is the perfect accompaniment to the savory, salty traditional holiday dishes. I’m talking about you mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and a huge serving of stuffing.

It is also great for leftovers and offers the perfect amount of sweetness to balance the palate. It is also delicious on pound cake and ice cream for a double dose of sugary delight.

This recipe comes together in a flash. Simply dump everything into a pan, heat, and wait for the cranberries to pop! Ensure all the cranberries have popped before removing the pan from the heat. Let cool for about 45 minutes to an hour and then transfer to a glass bowl and refrigerate for up to 1 week.

ENJOY!

Cookies, and desserts in general, are not my favorite food. But there is something about these molasses cookies that I absolutely love and crave. They are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside with just the right amount of sweetness and spice.

This recipe yields a lot of cookies….60 to 72 but they freeze well. (In case you don’t want to eat them all in one day!)

Roll a heaping teaspoon of batter into a ball and then roll into sugar before baking.

ENJOY!

I recently relocated from the west coast to middle Tennessee, and the southerners are serious about their peaches! And, with good reason, they are scrumptious.

After coming home from a farmer’s stand today, I decided to take a little bit of my bounty and make some mini muffins. You know, the bite-size variety you can pop in your mouth by the dozen!

These can also be made into regular-sized muffins but there is something special about these tiny sensations!

ENJOY!
