Finally a long-lasting, cruelty-free lipstick that is not filled with harmful ingredients, is cruelty-free but…unfortunately, not 100% vegan*.
It is so hard to find a good, long-lasting lipstick that is not filled with nasty chemicals, does not test on animals and is 100% vegan. From what I have found, Bite Cosmetic’s Amuse Bouche Lipstick Collection nearly clicks all of my boxes. I just wish they could find a substitute for crushed beetles and the pearl powder from oysters.
The lipstick comes in 34 luscious (and I literally mean, luscious) shades that offer immense color saturation, intense hydration and 12 edible food-grade oils and a blend of citrus extracts made from fresh-pressed fruits.
In addition the lipstick is free of Parabens, Sulfates and Phthalates and most of the ingredients are 100% safe but there are a few questionable ones including titanium dioxide and iron oxides.
I have tried a tube of the Amuse Bouche and was extremely impressed with the quality (and taste) of the lipstick. The color is amazing and all of the shades in the 34-piece collection are intense hues that give lips beautiful coloring and super-soft texture.
I commend them for the great strides they have taken in making a line of lipsticks that come soooo close to vegan-perfection. I wish they could just find a substitute for bugs and pearls.
